Sad Hai Yaar!! (It's Sad Mate)

How often do we find a person in a movie or an act where in, he/she keeps on repeating and using a sentence, phrase, or a word frequently that signifies his/her character?? Well, I believe I found the most unusual one at my maiden trip to Banglore during SSB interview. It was, (rather it IS, as I'm sure he wouldn't have stopped using it by now) "SAD HAI YAAR". The second sentence he spoke to me after the formal introduction, contained this phrase precisely twice. I kept wondering with a strange look on my face and later on I bombarded him with a series of questions asking him about the invention of this particular phrase with a quite happy smile!!

No matter, how the great fans of our typical Bollywood movies memorize the "Takiya-kalam" used by the infamous negative characters; but this Catch-Phrase by this young lad, Vishnu, drew everyone's attention and soon it became the word-whisker for every activity that took place. However, many of the acquaintances are yet to find the real reason, perhaps the real mood or the emotion involved in saying "SAD"....How come a person speak "Sad hai Yaaaaaar" infinite times for the so-called-happy-endings???? Although, the pet words like those containing "F" word, "Fish", "Chill Yaar", "Avoid Re" etc...are definitely away from the normality these days and are quite familiar and adopted by both the sex, but the latest to arrive in my conscious was "SAD".

Either the person is an intellectual cretin or a creative fellow who actually derived this and inherited to the person who had had a bed beside me. One day, among those of five that I had spent, the counting of the pronunciation of this phrase by the entire company grew to make the smallest three digits!!

No matter, where did he discover it, or where did he copied it from, the batch adopted it, in fact got adapted to it and whatever the situation had been, the catch-phrase by anyone of us delivered a big smile on our faces.

Small dedication to and remembrance of the selection batch that plays a few very good memories as a reprise about the small-big family that was formed for those five days. :-)

"kya be!! SAD HAI YAAR"
